Yonex started back in 1946 making wooden fishing net floats, but when plastics took over, they had to reinvent themselves.
By 1957, they were producing badminton rackets for other companies, and just a few years later, in 1961, they launched their own brand.
In 1973, the “YY Yoneyama” logo was introduced and eight-time All England Open Badminton Champion and badminton icon Rudy Hartono began competing with Yonex.
From there, Yonex kept expanding: tennis rackets came in 1971, then golf clubs, along with big innovations like graphite shafts and the signature ISOMETRIC head shape.
Over time, that constant push to innovate is what turned Yonex into the global sports equipment leader we know today.
