Sport has always been at the heart of Richard’s journey. As a keen track athlete and tennis player, Richard knows what it takes to push oneself to the limit in the pursuit of excellence.

Richard's background as a secondary PE teacher for 19 years has equipped him well for life as a full-time badminton coach. Today, he owns and runs the very successful Winchester Badminton Academy, with over 130 junior members.

Today, Richard helps players of all ages and abilities develop their game. His experience across teaching, coaching, and sports development means he understands not just the technical side of badminton, but also how to inspire confidence and enjoyment in every player.

That same philosophy shapes everything he does at Racket Shack, helping players find the right equipment, getting the right advice, and receiving the right support to play their best game.
